More ATMs at railway stations

The Ministry of Railways has allowed nine more banks to install Automated Teller Machines or ATMs in all Zonal Railways. These banks together will set up ATMs at 440 locations, making the total ATM locations 1833 across the country. Out of these, more than 1200 locations will have e-ticketing facilities through Internet kiosks installed alongside the ATMs.

Ajit Sarkar murder case: Pappu Yadav released from jail
Four days after the court acquitted him on charges of killing CPI (M) leader Ajit Sarkar citing lack of evidence, former RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav was formally released from jail on Tuesday. Yadav, who was lodged in Beur jail, was received by his wife Ranjeeta Ranjan and a large number of his supporters outside the jail.
