Hundreds of idol makers in Maharashtra are busy, ahead of the "Ganesh Chaturthi", the birthday of God Ganesh. During the festival, which begins on September 15, Ganesh idols will grace Hindu households all over the country. The making of these idols starts months ahead of Ganesh Purnima, which provides jobs to over, 20,000 artisans in Mumbai alone.
