New Delhi, August 27 : South Asia is a terror hotspot on the globe, and the country that has faced the worst of terrorist attacks on its own soil, barring war-torn Iraq, is India. India is hit by terrorists at an alarming regularity and the list of cities hit is endless - Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Malegaon and Varanasi. India not only had the highest number of deaths, but also the highest number of terror-related incidents among all countries.

FM Triggers Debate on Financial Reforms

Top policymakers, stock exchange representatives and regulators came together in the Capital on Wednesday to deliberate on the proposed Indian Financial Code. Finance Minister P. Chidambaram inaugurated a national seminar on Indian Financial Code to bring about a debate on the financial sector legislative reforms commission (FSLRC) report.

Sanjay Dutt shifted to Yerwada Jail in Pune

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who had last week surrendered in a Mumbai Jail was today secretly shifted to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune. The actor was taken from the high-security Arthur Road Central Jail in south Mumbai in a van around midnight and transferred to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune early Wednesday, due to security reasons and to avoid media glare.
