Delhi HC orders board to let players join ICL

New Delhi,Aug.28,: Delhi court has directed the national cricket board to stop taking action against players joining an unapproved Twenty 20 competition on Monday. The court also issued notices to state cricket associations as well as state-run firms who are threatening action against their players if they join the ICL. The next court hearing is scheduled for the last week of September.

IPL betting scandal: Gurunath Meiyappan arrested, Srinivasan says wont resign

Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI President N Srinivasan has been arrested for his alleged involvement in IPL betting scandal. Meiyappan will be produced before a metropolitan court on Saturday. He was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch after nearly two-and-a-half hours of questioning that began at 9.30 pm.

Congress top leaders to discuss on food security bill

There is a meeting of Congress core group today, in which they will decide whether to call for a special session of Parliament or to pass an ordinance on the Food Security Bill. Earlier, a meeting based on the same issue was held on 17th May which did not have inconclusive.
