Pak, UK sign prisoner transfer agreement

Islamabad, Aug. 25: The governments of Pakistan and the United Kingdom on Friday signed an agreement allowing prisoners from each others' countries to serve their sentences in their country of origin. The Prisoner Transfer Agreement allows Pakistani nationals imprisoned in the UK to transfer to Pakistan to serve the remainder of their sentence. The British nationals imprisoned in Pakistan will likewise be able to transfer to serve their sentence in the UK.

Former Pak Prez Musharraf arrested in Bugti murder case

Former Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf was formally arrested by a Balochistan Police team in the Akbar Bugti murder case, on Thursday. An anti-terrorist court hereby ordered a two-week judicial remand for the former military ruler, following which Musharraf will remain at his farmhouse at Chak Shahzad, in Islamabad for the duration of the remand.
