Kathmandu, Sept. 20, 2007 : Nepal's ruling alliance said that it had positive talks with the Maoists on Wednesday as it tried to persuade the former rebels to rejoin the government and back a historic poll to decide the country's political future. Madhav Kumar Nepal, general-secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal told reporters that the political parties had agreed that a common approach was the only way to solve the country's' problems.
