Cochin, Oct 01, 2007 : Indian and Australian cricket teams arrived in southern port city Cochin on Sunday for the second match of the series. The second game in the seven-match series would be played on Tuesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in the city. The first One-Day International in the seven-match series between India and Australia was abandoned after heavy showers lashed the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Saturday.

The ICC on Thursday withdrew Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf from the Champions Trophy, to be played next month, in wake of media reports that he was under investigation by Mumbai Police in the spot fixing case. According to a statement issued by ICC, it took the desicion of the umpire's withdrawal since it believes it was in the best interest of Rauf as well as sports.

BCCI passes onus of probe on police in spot-fixing row

The BCCI on Wednesday said that it is not their job to catch the bookies and others involved in betting but they would take action if players in their ambit, are found guilty.

Expressing his shock over Gujarat cricketer's Amit Singh involvement in the Indian Premiere League spot fixing racket, Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Rajesh Patel said it was difficult for him to believe that the bowler, who was dropped from the Gujarat team, due to suspected bowling action, could turn into a bookie.
