Bangalore, Oct. 5 2007 : A formal cabinet meeting convened by the Karnataka government in Bangalore today, was boycotted by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Karnataka cabinet has decided to convene a session of the state legislature on October 18. Meanwhile, at a meeting of the ministers representing BJP in the coalition government and party legislators in Karnataka, a majority of them pushed for pulling out of the government and facing mid-term polls.

IPL betting scandal: Gurunath Meiyappan arrested, Srinivasan says wont resign

Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI President N Srinivasan has been arrested for his alleged involvement in IPL betting scandal. Meiyappan will be produced before a metropolitan court on Saturday. He was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch after nearly two-and-a-half hours of questioning that began at 9.30 pm.

Congress top leaders to discuss on food security bill
