Yechury Invites Deve Gowda To Join

New Delhi, Oct. 6 2007 : While inaugurating the STFI National Convention on Education at New Delhi today, the Politburo member of CPIM Sitaram Yechury raised his party's ante against Nuke deal and also invited Janata Dal (S) leader Deve Gowda to join the Left Front and form a coalition. He also said that Karnataka needs fresh election. Meanwhile, the coalition government in Karnataka could crumble after BJP said that it was pulling out of the government.

IPL betting scandal: Gurunath Meiyappan arrested, Srinivasan says wont resign

Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI President N Srinivasan has been arrested for his alleged involvement in IPL betting scandal. Meiyappan will be produced before a metropolitan court on Saturday. He was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch after nearly two-and-a-half hours of questioning that began at 9.30 pm.

Congress top leaders to discuss on food security bill
