Teams arrived in Chandigarh

New Delhi, Oct 07 2007 : The Indian and Australian cricket teams arrived in Chandigarh on Saturday for the fourth one-dayer of the ongoing 7-match ODI Future Cup series to be played at Sector 16 stadium on Monday. After their arrival from Hyderabad, the teams were taken to Taj hotel amid tight security. Both sides will have practice sessions today. India is 2-0 down in the seven-match ODI series.

The ICC on Thursday withdrew Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf from the Champions Trophy, to be played next month, in wake of media reports that he was under investigation by Mumbai Police in the spot fixing case. According to a statement issued by ICC, it took the desicion of the umpire's withdrawal since it believes it was in the best interest of Rauf as well as sports.

Expressing his shock over Gujarat cricketer's Amit Singh involvement in the Indian Premiere League spot fixing racket, Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Rajesh Patel said it was difficult for him to believe that the bowler, who was dropped from the Gujarat team, due to suspected bowling action, could turn into a bookie.
