TCS bags $ 1.2 bn Nielsen contract

Mumbai, Oct 21 2007 : Mumbai-based Tata Consultancy Services or TCS has bagged a 1.2 billion dollar outsourcing contract from the Netherlands-based media firm Nielsen company, the largest ever-outsourcing deal for any Indian IT player. Under the 10-year contract, Tata Consultancy will offer a host of services to Nielsen from management of its information technology infrastructure to back-office work such as payroll processing and tracking human resource.
