EFFIGIES OF RULING LEADERS BURNT

New Delhi, Oct 21 2007 : Shiv Sena party activists today burnt effigies of leaders of the ruling government and its allies, against a controversial ship lane project in New Delhi. Activists shouting slogans and holding banners demonstrated near Jantar-Mantar, accusing the leaders of insulting Hindu Lord Ram. The effigy had faces of leaders pasted on them, with Sonia Gandhi as the demon king Ravana and other leaders as his ten heads.
