New Delhi, Oct. 31, 2007 : The first women President of the country, Pratibha Patil led the nation to pay homage to the only woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 23 death anniversary today. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief of ruling Congress party Sonia Gandhi, were among the first to pay homage at Shakti Sthal, a memorial of Gandhi on the banks of River Yamuna in New Delhi. They also offered floral tributes to the former Prime Minister at the assassination site.

FM Triggers Debate on Financial Reforms

Sanjay Dutt shifted to Yerwada Jail in Pune

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who had last week surrendered in a Mumbai Jail was today secretly shifted to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune. The actor was taken from the high-security Arthur Road Central Jail in south Mumbai in a van around midnight and transferred to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune early Wednesday, due to security reasons and to avoid media glare.
