538th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak

Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, Nov. 24, 2007 : Members of India's Sikh community celebrated the 538th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikh religion, with religious fervour. While the Hindu devotees performed prayers on the occasion of "Kartik Purnima" or the full moon day today. Hundreds of devotees in northern Amritsar city paid obeisance at the Golden temple. Meanwhile, a colourful boat festival was also held in Orissa to mark the full moon day.
Congress top leaders to discuss on food security bill
There is a meeting of Congress core group today, in which they will decide whether to call for a special session of Parliament or to pass an ordinance on the Food Security Bill. Earlier, a meeting based on the same issue was held on 17th May which did not have inconclusive.
PM to attend silver jubilee of SEBI today
