Legendary vocalist and Bharat Ratna recipient Pandit Bhimsen Joshi passed away on Monday (January 24) after a prolonged illness. Joshi, 89, died at the Sahyadri Hospital in Pune after his health deteriorated considerably in the last 24 hours.
