Nehru-Gandhi scion Varun Gandhi today (March 6) wed graphic designer Yamini Roy Chowdhury in a simple ceremony attended by a handful of people in a temple on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi. 30-year-old Varun, who was in a cream 'kurta-dhoti' with saffron 'angvastram', got married to Yamini, a brahmin, at a ceremony in Kamakoti Temple at Hanuman Ghat in which Kanchi Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati participated.

Sanjay Dutt shifted to Yerwada Jail in Pune

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who had last week surrendered in a Mumbai Jail was today secretly shifted to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune. The actor was taken from the high-security Arthur Road Central Jail in south Mumbai in a van around midnight and transferred to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune early Wednesday, due to security reasons and to avoid media glare.
