Ravi Teja and Taapsee starrer Daruvu is being directed by Shiva and produced by Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna under Sri Venkateswara Art Films and Sri Venkateswara Entertainments Pvt Ltd. Music is composed by Vijay Antony and it was launched recently at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. Dr Brahmanandam released the audio CDs and presented the first copy of it to Jayasudha. Later Jayasudha released the trailers. Ravi Teja, who is presently shooting for the film in Bangkok spoke through a video conference along with Puri Jagannadh.

After being banned in Tamil Nadu, the release of much-talked about movie of the month, 'Vishwaroopam' has now been stopped in Hyderabad by the Andhra Pradesh government following complaints by Muslims organisations that the movie has hurt religious sentiments of the community.
