No sooner that the spot fixing row has hit IPL, that there are several names being cropping up who are headed for trouble. There are 5 [players who have already been suspended by the BCCI after examining the sting operation footage. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association with one players name coming up in the same has said that they will support the national cricket board and accordingly take any action against the guilty party if required.

IPL Spot-Fixing: ICC withdraws Pak umpire Asad Rauf from Champions Trophy

The ICC on Thursday withdrew Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf from the Champions Trophy, to be played next month, in wake of media reports that he was under investigation by Mumbai Police in the spot fixing case. According to a statement issued by ICC, it took the desicion of the umpire's withdrawal since it believes it was in the best interest of Rauf as well as sports.

Expressing his shock over Gujarat cricketer's Amit Singh involvement in the Indian Premiere League spot fixing racket, Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Rajesh Patel said it was difficult for him to believe that the bowler, who was dropped from the Gujarat team, due to suspected bowling action, could turn into a bookie.
