New Delhi, August 29 (ANI): Ace shooter Gagan Narang got this years prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award. The 28 year old rifle shooter, Narang bagged four gold medals at 2010 Commonwealth Games and was selected for the highest sports award. The award carries a statuette, citation and cash prize of Rupees 7,50,000. He was conferred the award by President Pratibha Devising Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi today where she also gave away Dronacharya and Arjuna Awards. 19 other sportspersons were conferred with Arjuna Awards for sporting excellence. Jwala Gutta (in Badminston), Zaheer Khan (in Cricket), Tejaswani Ravindra Sawant (in Shooting), Somdev Kishore Devvarman (in Tennis), Rajpal Singh (in Hockey) were among those conferred with Arjuna awards for their performance in sports in 2011.
