Maoist shutdown hits life across eastern India

Gaya/Ranchi, June 27 (ANI): Maoists in eastern states called for a 24 hour shutdown today to protest against operation Green Hunt initiated by the armed forces of the central governments. Meanwhile railway police in Gaya stepped up the security in the railway station and patrolling was also intensified. The police force in Ranchi recovered numerous wireless sets used by Maoists in the area for communication purpose.
