New Delhi, June 20 (ANI): It is a big day for noted filmmakers Girish Karnad, Shyam Benegal and Madhur Bhandarkar as the three have been honored by President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today for their contribution to Hindi language through the world of cinema. Karnad, Benegal and Bhandarkar were awarded with the prestigious Ganga Sharan Singh Puraskar by the HRD ministry s Kendriya Hindi Sansthan.
