Shimla, May 13 (ANI): With twin objective of promoting the reading and sale of books in the state, a week long Shimla Book Fair organized by National Book Trust (NBT), began recently in Shimla. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal inaugurated the fair and requested NBT to make the fair an annual affair. NBT Director, M.A. Sikandar, said that over 50 publishers from across the country exhibited their books in the fair. The first Book Fair was held in 2001 and since then the scenario of publishing started to change very rapidly in the state.

Sanjay Dutt to Get Access Home Food, Medicine

Sanjay Dutt went back to Arthur Road jail to serve three-and-a-half years sentence after being convicted in 1993 Bombay blasts case. Meanwhile, TADA court allowed him access to medicines, home-food, fan and to take along his mattress and pillow for his stay in the jail.

Teacher suspended for molesting girl student

A government school teacher was suspended by the state government for attending the school in an intoxicated condition and allegedly molesting the girl students. Investigations in the case have been initiated.
