Green Tribunal suspends Posco s environmental clearance

Bhubneshwar, March 30 (ANI): The National Green Tribunal, today suspended the environmental clearance granted to Posco s mega steel project, in Odisha. The suspension remains valid till the environment ministry reviews it afresh. Shankar Gopala Krishnan, Secretary, Campaign for survival & dignity welcomed the Tribunal s decision. Meanwhile, commenting on the Tribunal s decision, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the orders would be looked upon, as soon as they are received by the state Government.

Rescue operations underway in Joshimath
