New Delhi, December 7 (ANI): Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, today said that Indias socio political equation with the West Asian countries is of primary concern, especially amid altering political scenario in the concerned nations. He also said that Indias primary concern over the situation in West Asia was related to its six million nationals who work there. Singh made the comment while responding to a query from Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj.

IPL betting scandal: Gurunath Meiyappan arrested, Srinivasan says wont resign

Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of BCCI President N Srinivasan has been arrested for his alleged involvement in IPL betting scandal. Meiyappan will be produced before a metropolitan court on Saturday. He was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch after nearly two-and-a-half hours of questioning that began at 9.30 pm.

Congress top leaders to discuss on food security bill

There is a meeting of Congress core group today, in which they will decide whether to call for a special session of Parliament or to pass an ordinance on the Food Security Bill. Earlier, a meeting based on the same issue was held on 17th May which did not have inconclusive.
