Srinagar, October 27 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday observed a shutdown, called by separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani against the forceful occupation by Indian forces of the region. Shops and offices remained closed and people stayed indoors, observing Black day in the state. Thousands of security personnel patrolled deserted streets in the valley to prevent any untoward incident. Black Day is observed every year to mark the invasion by the Indian Army in 1947 on the same date.
