Wagah, October 26 (ANI): Security officials of India and Pakistan today exchanged sweets and greetings on the auspicious occasion of Deepavali, at Wagah border in Punjab. The warm gesture was shared between officials of Borders Security Force (BSF) and their Pakistani counterpart. Meanwhile an elated Pakistani national expressed happiness saying that such gestures would send out the message of peace to all. Diwali marks the return of Lord Ram to his home Ayodhya after killing Ravana, symbolising the victory of righteousness over evil. The festival is celebrated all over India with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

FM Triggers Debate on Financial Reforms

Top policymakers, stock exchange representatives and regulators came together in the Capital on Wednesday to deliberate on the proposed Indian Financial Code. Finance Minister P. Chidambaram inaugurated a national seminar on Indian Financial Code to bring about a debate on the financial sector legislative reforms commission (FSLRC) report.

Sanjay Dutt shifted to Yerwada Jail in Pune

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who had last week surrendered in a Mumbai Jail was today secretly shifted to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune. The actor was taken from the high-security Arthur Road Central Jail in south Mumbai in a van around midnight and transferred to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune early Wednesday, due to security reasons and to avoid media glare.
