India committed to eradicating poverty: Natarajan

New Delhi, October 03 (ANI): Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan said on Monday that the government is committed to improving living standards and eradicating poverty through inclusive growth in the country. The concept of inclusive growth has been the primary focus of Indias 12th Five Year Plan. A World Bank report in May said that attempts by the government to combat poverty failed to yield the desired results and aid programmes were beset by corruption, bad administration and under payments.
Saradha Group, Sudipta Sen sent to police custody in new case
On Sunday, West Bengal court sent Saradha Group promoter Sudipta Sen and a close aide to 10 day's police custody in a new case against them. Sen and senior company official Arvind Chauhan were sent to police custody by a South 24 Parganas court.
Sanjay Dutt to Get Access Home Food, Medicine
Sanjay Dutt went back to Arthur Road jail to serve three-and-a-half years sentence after being convicted in 1993 Bombay blasts case. Meanwhile, TADA court allowed him access to medicines, home-food, fan and to take along his mattress and pillow for his stay in the jail.
Teacher suspended for molesting girl student
A government school teacher was suspended by the state government for attending the school in an intoxicated condition and allegedly molesting the girl students. Investigations in the case have been initiated.
Dutt withdraws application to surrender in pune jail
