Dawoods brother Iqbal Kaskar survives shootout

Mumbai, May 18 (ANI): Two unidentified men opened fire at Iqbal Kaskar, brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Mumbai on Tuesday. Luck favoured Kaskar as he managed to escape unhurt, but one of his bodyguards, Asif Zaveri, was shot at. Zaveri was rushed to JJ Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Two other bodyguards, Anwar Hippi and Anwar Karate, managed to survive. Rajkumar Vatkar, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) said two persons have been apprehended and the interrogation is in progress.

Saradha Group, Sudipta Sen sent to police custody in new case

On Sunday, West Bengal court sent Saradha Group promoter Sudipta Sen and a close aide to 10 day's police custody in a new case against them. Sen and senior company official Arvind Chauhan were sent to police custody by a South 24 Parganas court.

Sanjay Dutt to Get Access Home Food, Medicine

Sanjay Dutt went back to Arthur Road jail to serve three-and-a-half years sentence after being convicted in 1993 Bombay blasts case. Meanwhile, TADA court allowed him access to medicines, home-food, fan and to take along his mattress and pillow for his stay in the jail.
