The fate of abducted collector Alex Paul Menon hangs by a thread as the deadline given by his abductors has already been crossed. It is learnt that the Chattisgarh government wants to seek fresh extension in this respect. This request has been forwarded by the state government as rounds of talks with the Maoists begin today.
